Who we are
Founded with sustainability and safety in mind
HTS exists because laboratory extraction is a specialism, and specialisms do not survive being a sideline. We were established as the service arm of Holliday Fielding Hocking so that testing, servicing and repair had a dedicated team behind them rather than sharing engineers with an installation business.
That parent business has been supplying laboratory furniture and fume cupboards to UK schools, universities, hospitals and industry for over seventy years. Between the two, there is very little we have not seen installed in a British laboratory.
We remain family run. That is not a marketing line about values, it is the reason you get the same engineers year after year and the reason the person who quotes the work is accountable for it.

Repair before replace
We are independent, so there is no incentive to condemn a serviceable unit. Where a cupboard can be repaired, refurbished or relocated, we will say so and price it.
Reachable
One phone number, answered by people who know your site. No ticket queue between you and an engineer when a cupboard has failed and the lab is standing idle.

The facts
What we cover, plainly stated
Fume cupboards must be tested at least every 14 months. Maintenance and servicing is what keeps them safe, performing and efficient between those tests, and the same applies to the wider LEV system.
We carry out testing, LEV testing, preventative maintenance, parts replacement and repair to COSHH, BS EN 14175, BS 7989 (HSG258) and BB88, using our own engineers throughout the UK, on any UK, European or US manufactured product.
